Woo! Dwarfers!
[this is good]
You know it ;)
I love Red Dwarf but thought the show sorta lost it when they brought back the entire crew towards the end of the series.
yeah, that is actually a fair point... but I have thought about it, and i don't think its a "jumping the shark" moment... the benefit was they had a legit reason to bring Rimmer back as the snivelling Rimmer rather than the softened Rimmer.

R: "I never liked Kochanski she always used to call me RIMMER"
L: "Everyone called you Rimmer, Rimmer"
R: "Yes, but it was the way she said it: 'Rimmer, to rhyme with scum"
With or without the crew and regardless of which Rimmer's around, Red Dwarf is still one of my all-time faves. Even their worst episodes (and there weren't many duds) were well-worth watching.
You know, my only issue is that they went to an 8 episode season for the last two seasons. Why does that bother me? It means I have to switch DVDs to watch a whole season. That bugs me.

You know what's hilarious is finding Dwarfers in other films. The captain of the Red Dwarf is in Aliens (he's the leader of the outpost that gets over-run, but I think it's only in the director's cut). And Petersen is Mr. Weasley in the Harry Potter movies. And, of course, the Cat was in Blade 2. And, of course, of course, Rimmer is Lara Croft's butler.

R: "Is this Petersen's arm? I've got the arm of a Danish moron."
lol, yeah I have spotted those ones too.

The Blade 2 one got me the most excited in the cinema :)
